The life Time at Dumbo. Brooklyn is most definitely what’s happening there’s so much square footage. It’s honestly amazing. The front desk is very helpful, professional, engaging, and articulate. There is a bar there however the only downside is that the woman who is tending the bar, said that there was a happy hour, but didn’t really know the times and didn’t know what drinks or beers are a part of happy hour. Therefore, I did not attend happy hour when I was there in my opinion, they need to do a better job of promoting their happy hour as you don’t find that many gyms with an actual bar. There was no ice plunge, but there is a nice coed Jacuzzi steam room and sauna even though I will admit that. The steam room is absolutely scalding. I had to wet a towel and put it over me and I still couldn’t last longer than 10 minutes in there but it’s soothing nonetheless their workout classes the rooms are very well ventilated the instructors are friendly and engaging and the ambience of the strobe lights and music is definitely thrilling. The weight area is very open and spacious better than the location at sky and there are plenty of restrooms. I didn’t get to hoop, but the pool has six lanes. There’s no need to make a reservation and it feels like the lanes are longer which makes it more enjoyable oh, and I have to add the lifetime café at this location is also top-notch as they serve delicious, hot food. I had an excellent burger and my girlfriend put me on to a cauliflower barbecue chicken and bacon pizza which was delicious. Too bad they don’t sell real soda like Coca-Cola or sprite. LOL JK

I just signed up for this gym. It’s cool but like many others in the reviews…I gotta say, the front desk needs a whole new staff. They’re off-putting and can be combative for the pettiest reasons. Not the character traits you want to experience when you first walk in. It’s genuinely super strange (I used to be a f.d attendant at a gym myself— I find that it’s quite easy to be pleasant doing this particular job... quite mind-boggling that they’re still working there) Also…I think it’s especially annoying that when we bring a guest, we must be present, I’ve been a member of all kinds of elite/boutique gyms and it has never been necessary as long as the correct info is provided + form is filled / member ID and/or phone no is given. Only in lifetime have I needed to be physically present. Only thing keeping me here is the hot yoga and sauna/steam room. All the other staff outside of front desk are helpful and kind :) + members are cool and clean up after themselves. Love the space. Oh and maybe get a cold plunge! y’all charge us enough money for one 🙄

my only thing is that this place charges an arm and a leg and there’s 0 alternative in the neighborhood so i feel like if i want to take care of my body im forced to go here. otherwise its a very nice gym. there’s always enough machines, the pool is great, i like that they’re open til 11. I know people have complained about the staff being unfriendly but i haven’t noticed that myself. Maybe they hired new people

My new favorite location. Everything feels very new. The group fitness studio is beautiful. The locker rooms are extremely spacious with huge benches. No fighting for space while changing! I feel more comfortable taking a shower and getting ready here than in my own home. They also really nailed the lighting in this location. They use a nice warm, yellow lighting for the main training area. Very easy on the eyes and makes it feel like a comforting and inviting environment. I loathe the bright white lights that they have in a lot of the other equinox locations. Water pressure is 10/10. Showers get nice and hot. Something unusual which I found to be quite uncomfortable, is that there is a huge window in the steam room displaying everyone inside to the locker room. It ruins the immersion and relaxation you would typically have at the steam room. I assume this is to prevent sexual behavior, but I feel it was definitely unnecessary. As for post-workout food options, you have sweetgreen right across the street and there is also a juice press directly underneath the gym. Equinox Dumbo is now my main location.

The cleanest, newest and nicest equinox that I have been to. A lot of natural light and space does not feel too crowded. Very gentrified crowd tho, like dumbo generally. Go here especially compared to the brooklyn heights location.

One of the best, if not the best Equinox locations in the city. Great equipment, friendly staff and a clean environment to workout in. May not have the size or amenities of the bigger locations but the quality of my experience is what really matters and for that I must rate this place five stars. Raul De La Cruz along with general manager Henry are fantastic ambassadors for Equinox as a company. Raul is extremely friendly and always willing to help others in regards to any concerns you may have. Will definitely be coming back to this gym very often.

One of my favorite Equinox locations. It's beautifully designed and very quiet during off hours. It has all the equipment I need laid out on one floor, big windows for natural light and is always clean and organized. What makes it better is the staff; from Jack at the front desk who gets me my weighted jump rope, to Ceon who is in charge of maintaining the club (and is he friendliest person you will meet), to Kay and Raul in the membership dept. I've had great luck with a series of trainers I look forward to seeing in a social capacity as well as the training. The entire staff creates a welcoming environment to come to day after day, which is great when needing the motivation to finish the last 30 min of the workout.
