Best Gym near Des-plaines, Illinois

My niece participated at a theater performance this past weekend, the Lion King and it was held at the Prairie Lake Community Center. The place is nice and has a good seating area. The stage is also very nice as well as the lighting and the sound.

I just wanted to send a special thank you to the guys who didn’t let a water main break rain on our parade!! They were so professional and helpful. Even while dealing with their own crisis, they were able to address my situation calmly and help me find a resolution so that we could still celebrate my son’s 16th birthday! Thank you so much for everything and I can’t wait to plan my next event with DP Park District!!!

The premises are lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. They seem to have so many wonderful things for families to partake in. I love the children's art shown around the premises. When my kids get a bit older, I will enroll them for some wonderful memories like the ones I have from my childhood.

It is a nice peaceful place to go.

Too many children in heated pool and no rules enforced at all! Heated pools are for seniors..

It's not my favorite gym, but it's clean, organized, and the staff is very attentive. Get a Black membership and bring a friend. I just heard that they have an infra-red light bed, so I'll definitely be going back to take that baby for a spin. Highly recommended!

Des Plaines on Golf is a disappointing location... Doesn't have all the amenities. The first bike I went to kept turning off. I asked if they knew that this bike didn't work and they knew exactly what I was talking about which means they just watched me use a broken bike for a long time. They said yes, they knew. The particular bike had a QR code that the app said this equipment is no longer supported. Old?? Different staff than when I went last time, not very good vibes tonight while interacting multiple times.

WORST EXPERIENCE at this location. DONT recommend. Invited my mom as a guest, I am black member, she felt horrible when Donnovan the person at front desk didn’t allow her to use the massage chair instead of me. What a cheap staff.

What a shitty place I cancel my membership i still got charge for the annual fee when in the last receipt says Zero balance what place i am not recommend this gym.. I am so mad of this.

Its an okay place. However the constant rap trash playing makes most workout times difficult and they use an AI to pick their "music." Bring headphones and you should be fine.

I signed up via Active and Fit direct from my work and initially went to another location. The manager there was very rude and signed me up incorrectly. I went to this one and as expected, my key fob did not work. The manager Matt & associate Nicole were very friendly and set me up correctly. They went out of the way to make sure everything was good to go. I highly recommend this Des Plaines location. The staff here is very nice and customer service is amazing.

Recently joined and glad I did. I'm loving being able to work out whenever I want and being able to track how many people are in the gym at any hour. Matt answered my questions and guided me to the right membership for me. Angelina took the time to show me the equipment and made sure I would be able to properly use it on my own. I am re-starting my fitness journey and have found the right place for me.

Great location and hours with all the equipment you need and very helpful staff.

What are the odds that the guy on the leg extension machine will read this review right now, get off his phone and leave, so I can use it :( Other than people wasting 10 minutes between reps being on their phones this location is of the best I've seen.

Well stocked and well managed. I have been there at many different times, and the gym never gets too crowded. The employees are very friendly, and I have seen them personally inspect and clean the equipment during pretty much all of my visits. The clientele is generally friendly, and I haven't had a poor experience. After working out here for years, I can say that the staff will do everything in their power to make you feel at home. Just had to accept a job out of state, and I will truly miss coming in here.

This is probably my first google review ever and I think it’s well deserving. I signed up with anytime fitness near my home and ended up going to this location instead because it’s closer to work and I noticed a night and day difference my first day here. The staff is the best I’ve seen at any location. They are super friendly and accommodative to any member in need. The gym and bathrooms are always clean. It’s a peaceful environment and I’ve never seen it to packed that forced me to wait long times for weights. I would recommend all my family and friends to get a membership here. 5 stars is an understatement

The owners/staff take pride in the facility by keeping gym clean and all equipment/machines in working order. They are personable and the reason why I keep returning to maintain a healthy weight. Members are diverse and also friendly!

Plenty of parking and a grocery store located right next to this gym make it a very convenient visit. It is spacious and has a good range of free weights and deadlift/squat platforms. Plenty of machines and a nice studio too. Tanning rooms and a massage machine round out this location nicely.

Excellent gym. Not too crowded. The owner, Kamal, is super helpful and keeps the gym in pristine condition. Thanks for creating such an encouraging and welcoming place for us to workout in! 5 stars.

I’ve gone to many anytimes and this is my favorite one in the area. It’s always clean and the staff is so welcoming. Highly recommend going here especially if you’re new to working out.

Very clean, plenty of parking lots, open 24/7 and friendly staffs. Lots of new equipments. Can’t beat any prices with lowest rates ever.

Would be great if they had charging stations in some of their parking spots. That would be a perfect 30-40 minute workout and then come out to a fully charged car 👍

Very clean and nice gym with clean and functional equipment. Staff are very respectful and nice, and the same can be said about the gym goers.

2/2/25 @ 2:46 am -I workout late nights and the place is an eyesore the locker room is beyond filthy and the front desk person that's wearing street clothes has the worst customer service if you ask to use the massage chairs thats when he's not busy on his phone ,first and last time at this location ewww- I will be searching for a new company to workout because PF doesn't need my business 🏃‍♂️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️
