it’s great here. i never had an issue. everyone is in their own zone and good vibes. the employees are very welcoming and helpful and nice. it’s always clean in there. even the bathrooms 👍🏾

This location on Remsen has a great staff. I always see someone cleaning the machines. I have trained at many PF's through out NY and this is the ONLY one where I see the staff consistently on the floor cleaning, and replenishing the spray and towels. I sincerely appreciate that, and make a point of thanking them. They are friendly when you walk in and greet you with a smile and a hello. I recommend this location.

The men at this location hog the gym! Both the weights and machines. I have never been able to get a full workout in since joining this location as I can never use the machines or dumbells. Most of the dumbells are always MIA. It would take me hours to actually do my full desired workout having to work around them, with their having taken over the entire gym. The location is too small, always crowded, and it needs to be open 24/7/365. Covid restrictions are all rescinded, so change to being open 24 hours, 7 days a week to alleviate the crowding and manspreading. Also, the locker rooms have many broken locker doors hanging off of the hinges and/or can no longer close properly. There's a suspect hole in the ceiling of the women's locker room as well.

Be careful purchasing a membership with this location. I canceled my subscription with the manager specifically and they still charged my card i have to now report it as a fraudulent transaction due to the fact i cancelled my membership. The manager is disgusting as well i do not recommend this location there is never no machines available people hog up everything. The men make you feel uncomfortable when you working out as well i had no peace while working out .

They really need to get it together. You can guarantee at least 5 machines out of order. Wipe station is always missing wipes early in the morning. I would think that when they open up in the morning, the employees will check all the station has wipes. I'm just over them. Lockers are filling up again with people leaving their stuff overnight.

Has a good deal of equipment, staff was pretty courteous, wish they were more helpful with the issue I was having. Overall though a good experiencel. Loved that gym members were very pricey and keen in cleaning the machines after use. It Also had most of the equipment I used at La fitness.

On level 2, only 2 out of the 4 StairMaster machines are functioning, and the broken ones have been out of service for months. Additionally, 5 out of the 15 treadmills are unavailable. This ongoing issue with equipment maintenance impacts the overall experience.

This has to be one of the better blink gyms around 2 Levels with equipment for all your fitness goals a dedicated stretching area . I’ve been coming here for years it’s great give it a try you won’t be disappointed

I honestly love this gym. As someone who was worried about starting the gym at a certain weight & while a pandemic is still going on I really easily felt comfortable here. The locker rooms are always clean. The workers keep everything in order and clean & the people who workout here are very considerate. I always see people cleaning off the machines they’ve used. I would highly recommend!

I’ve been going to the Place for years even worked couple years back. But once I heard there’s new ownership I hoped they improved the gym and kid stuff to how it should be. Sadly the new owners is just as useless as the previous owners, like all you see new management signs all over the place and yet it look exactly the same. The boxing club not open(Still) no lockerooms, both weight rooms outdated and corny events for kids that clearly have blind parents. If parents bring they kid here it’s obvious they wasn’t ready to have kids. In addition how the ass the gym membership 40$ and I still have to pay for the pool?

Do not waste your money on the outdoor pool here! I decided to take the kids here because we haven’t been to this pool in a few years. They were very expensive so I was baffled to see the conditions of the pools. Only one pool was open and the water was cloudy and green. You couldn’t step foot in water without tissue, hair, or something else touching you. It was the worse experience I’ve ever had. I left and requested a refund because I was completely dissatisfied. I waited a half hour for someone to speak to another person to approve a refund. The front desk clerks were super supportive and apologetic however they weren’t able to get me my refund and asked me to call them back for a refund. I’ve never in all my years heard of an establishment such as this not being able to provide a refund of the same system they used to take money for the service. I would never return or recommend the outdoor pool.

Very unprofessional. I've been calling and emailing for weeks to sign my kids up for camp and not one response. I drive down there abs there was a hand written note taped to the gate that they are temporarily closed. No info. Websites and phones do not indicate a closure. I'll pay for camp elsewhere

Do not believe any of the positive reviews. The staff from BKLA are writing the company’s reviews. The staff at BKLA are uncompromising and the swimming instructors barely teach the children how to swim. They provide little effort in teaching the children how to swim so that the parents can pay for another session. I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone. It’s a shame what BKLA is doing to their customers and community!

Never going back. I went to the outdoor pools back in 2022. Lovely totally enjoyed myself the outdoors looked a little ran down but i gave grace the pools were crystal blue and I had hope that the facility would only get better with time. Fast forward to summer 2024 took my mom and my nephew to enjoy the beautiful pools that I remember paid the $65 fee to use the pools /outdoor area- $25 for adults and $15 for children. What I saw today was so disappointing 😞 and disrespectful!. The once pristine and blue pools were now green and merky could not see the bottom of it and the outdoor area was totally unkempt and ran down! It was in an even worse condition than what i saw back in 2022 . I was mortified I should have just taken my family to one of the many free nyc pools. Total waste of my $65 ! We asked to see a manager about the pool and it was the most hullabaloo excuse that I've ever heard as to why the pool was so green and merky. I was left with even more questions than answers. Their pools need servicing by a professional cleaning company. Absolutely sickening! The outdoor area is absolutely deplorable for something that your paying hard earned money for This is not it. And no life vests !!!!!!! It's in need of a major reconstruction and face lift. Bkla please do better and update your facility. Black owned should mean excellence of the highest quality especially in a predominantly black middle class neighborhood. Respect your customers money !
