Best Gym near Brandon, Florida

A used to love this school it helps bring my child up to grad lvl in the areas she was struggling. If I was ranking the school on teaching alone it is a 5 start but I will rank it on how it handled handle it's student when they miss behaved as well. My child was being picked on by 3 girls they were breaking into her things and stealing from her. They when our of their was to make her feel like no one wanted her around. The school did try and stop it and it helped a little but it got worse before it got better I asked the school to suspend the 3 girls who were being hateful with there words and actions because my child became really depressed I was very worried about her but the school side they don't believe in suspending students. I had to report Camp the basketball teacher for yelling at the girls all the time it was so unattractive and unhealthy. I was not surprised when the next year no one joined the team but a few kids. Luckily for Camp they were able to convince their friends to join of they wouldn't have had a team at all that year. I think that help to soften Camps heart because she was a lot nicer after that. I hope that the band teaches learns their lesson as well. I resently learn how she told my child that she just average when it came to the flute which she has been learning to play for years with a will know flute teacher. Who said my daughter is grat at her flute. People who came to hear the bands so show at the school said my daughter was really talented and they were very impressed with her flute skills. I was also not surprised when everyone quit the band because the teacher was so discouraging. Now this person's band is down to 2 students and my daughter side they are talking about cancelling band all together because of it. They just need to talk to the teacher and remind her that words like that can be really hurtful. It would be really sad if they cut band altogether Band is a wonderful way to experience oneself and help it helps people grow. There are a lot of bullies in this school and I don't feel like the school always handled it right. For instance 2 boys purposely stomped on my daughters tablet for school and broke it. They told her that they are rich 💵 so break her belongings and haveing to pay for it doesn't matter to them because it let her know she doesn't belong in their school. I wanted them suspend two but the school doesn't believe In suspending students. It's bull crap if you ask me. There are some amazing Teachers in this school two like Mis Stevens she is a amazing teacher and flag football coach. Mis Carter is also wonderful when it comes to working with the kids. This people helped my daughter get through her ruff time here at this school. I hope this review helps people see both the positive and negative side of this school.

I was fortunate enough to attend Light of the World Celebration 12-8 because I am of Irish descent it really had special meaning for me BUT Not the reason for this note When my friend and I arrived and I saw the size and number of people I started to have a panic attack and just wanted to go home where I would feel safe BUT the Lord had other plans He put a young man PAUL IN THE BACK PARKING LOT in control and PAUL (and Holy Spirit) were able to talk me down figured a way for me to attend and even after performance PAUL stopped to make sure I was doing ok I feel PAUL listen to Holy Spirit and was able to help me enjoy the evening Knowing PAUL he probably does not want to recognize as my hero but he really it and I praise and thank God for putting him there

Really friendly people, a great biblical foundation, and a willingness to help others; that's how I would describe this place.

I have been an active member of this church since January 1975. It is now and always has been a VERY LOVING CHURCH! Two of my grandchildren are being educated at our Academy and love it. They have always tested very high in the Standard Testing used in the public schools, and they already have a surprising understanding and knowledge of the Holy Bible. We also have a very available and caring ministerial staff. If you read this and have not attended a worship service here, please give us a chance at 10:30 some Sunday morning soon.

Week three after joining with a friend who made a New Year's resolution. After having tried another local gym, I was wary. I was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, knowledgeable instructors, no pressure, and, for me, the best feature: no over amplified music at deafening levels. Fellow members are also friendly when you're looking for interaction and give you space when you want that. Am absolutely delighted with MAC Gym.

Well kept gym and pleasant daily employee. However stay away if raquetball fans. They have a group that plays 2 days a week. We can only go after work and while we made sure to schedule ours prior to their scheduled time. They got the ceo to extend theirs and block us from being able to use. This is a location only for kids and elderly that have been. Obviously screw new people over entirely

I signed up for one month only. We needed a place to practice basketball every morning before my daughter started with her league. The people were kind, the courts were clean and always ready for play with no issues. I will say, please check their weekly schedules as they change periodically for pickle ball. No complaints from us! We also loved that above us was a walking track for anyone who wanted to do a few miles.

Absolutely love this place. My Boys love it there, and the staff are good to them. This was pretty much my oldest son's second home, before he passed. I will always appreciate The MAC, for being a safe place for my children, and the support they give to my younger son! LLE!! A true blessing to have a place like this in our community!

I like this place because it's low key. Only issue is the elliptical machines could stand a refresh.

I do like this gym! Only reason I am giving 4 stars is due to a trainer I met here, Zach Drake. Training sessions with him were pretty decent, but coaching did not work out.

My Experience at this location has been great. They have a friendly staff and always greet me when I come in. The gym is clean and has a ton of equipment. I also recommend starting off with a Kickoff session. My session was great and I learned a lot of exercises I can now utilize in the gym.

These guys are awesome. Always very helpful and friendly form the moment I check in and all the way through my workout. Especially that Stephen guy, knows a lot about working out and has helped me with. Couple of pointers during my workouts. Would recommend all day everyday

Refuses to cancel my gym membership despite making multiple requests and calling for months and speaking to multiple different staff, including the manager. Corporate is MIA with no way to reach out to them directly. If you wish to cancel your membership, you are better off just working something out with your bank because staff here are either unable/unwilling to help.

This is a review for my personal Trainer Jasmine! She was a great fit from the beginning! I was coming over to crunch from a HITT gym that had all guided classes. I was totally lost in a gym like this and needed a ton of guidance. She was patient with me and always made me feel comfortable during our sessions. I struggle with PCOS and she was super helpful with giving me tips and advice on food as well as holding me accountable with my activity level. Forever thankful for what she’s done for me!

In my experience the current staff here has been nothing short of amazing. I definitely wanted to acknowledge Alan for going above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. Even during the holiday season when customer service at some places can slightly & understandably fall to the wayside because of how hectic things can get.. he provided a welcoming, & friendly atmosphere. Thank you very much!

Just moved to town and needed a gym membership I went to check out this place called Eporta fitness and when I got there I was greeted by The front desk receptionist Who lead me to GM Allen one of the coolest and professional person ever help me with my membership process by explaining The gym amenities and membership options? After 10 mins I didn’t hesitate I knew this the that I wanted to be part of this gym Special thanks The GM Allen for is Fantastic customer service I definitely will be recommending this place to other folks💪🏾😁💯

Came from out of state on Vacation and this was my nearest LA Fitness. This location was amazing. I was greeted with a friendly smile. Operations Manager Sarah was awesome and helped fixed my account. Gym was very clean. I would highly recommend!

Vanessa and Sarah are always very welcoming at the front when I come in to work out. The gym is always clean and I never have to wait for equipment! Al set me up with a Master Trainer 3 months ago and I’m already down 10 pounds. Highly recommend!!!

The location is very nice. Alan is amazing and really cares about the members. He also got me set up with personal training and paired me with Matthew. He is very good and has helped me a lot already. Recommend this location over the other options in the area.

This gym is a great place to work out! The staff is friendly and the gym is pristine. Their personal trainers are very professional and know what they are doing to help you accomplish your physical/ health goals. A big shout out to “Kayla”, my trainer. She prepared me for two 11 mile hikes while in National Parks this past summer. Increased my endurance, strength and balance. If you are seriously wanting to improve yourself mentally and physically, I suggest you check this gym out!

We just moved to the area & we are very pleased with this gym. It is very clean & the employees are professional, pleasant, & interactive. This is the first time using a personal trainer at any facility. Akeem did a great job explaining & matching me up with master trainer David. I love my sessions! I’m learning so much. He pushes me just enough that I’m progressing without getting overwhelmed or too sore. He is easy to talk to & is patient with me when I struggle. Looking forward to my results in a few months!

Perfect space for exercising. Always is so clean and is so kind personnel. I love to take a Zumba class. All instructor is the best

Just want to give some kudos to this location. Always greeted with a smile from the time I walk in and the trainers are always willing to assist. But the thing that stands up the most is the cleanliness of this gym location. I travel all over Florida and use LA Fitness as my choice to work out. But no other LA fitness is this clean. The management at this location is definitely doing something right 👍🏼

Akeem has been so kind and accommodating on my scheduling needs. I was interested in personal training and he suggested I train with Caleb. Caleb picked up on my capabilities (I’m 71) immediately. I always feel great after my session and always look forward to the next. I highly recommend LA Fitness for your fitness needs!

I absolutely loved working out of this gym! They have all the right equipment for serious trainers and beginners, dumbbells go up to 180 pounds not that I would ever use them lol but the option is there. I got to meet a few very high-level pros. And if you do meet them, please be respectful. Wait till after they’re done with their set or their work out to approach them, you never know what kind of day they’re gonna have. All the members they are super friendly, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, Tom, Eddy and Matt are great! All the girls that work up there are extremely friendly and helpful as well. There’s always someone cleaning so it’s a very clean atmosphere even though I don’t mind working out in a grungy dungeon, they definitely take pride in this gym. I’ve never been to their Tampa location, but I would love to give it a visit. Unfortunately, I’m moving to Bradenton so I had to cancel my membership and while I thought it was gonna be a problem, they made it pretty painless for me so I really appreciate that as canceling. Cancellation in Gyms can sometimes become a big headache. Another great thing about this gym is It’s never super crowded so you’re always able to get in and get a good workout, the camaraderie is great so people will let you work in. Nothing but great things to say about this gym and I would highly recommend!

Great place, great atmosphere, clean establishment the one and only thing I will say are they're cable machines only go up to 95 lbs but that was only an issue for my cable pullovers and I would say just to go up in reps but I'm already doing 20 reps for that movement with 100 lbs. besides that no other issues. This gym is heaven on earth for all bodybuilders.

Great gym. Some machines missing due to gym being too new. Great selection of beverages for a two month old gym. Staff was friendly. Enough dumbells to please the heavy weights and the light weights.

IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM. First of all, let’s tell you that this is the first time a write a bad review about any place. They are nice with you when you go into their doors, but they like to play with people money. I was happy in this gym until I had to leave my training due to work issues that required more of my attention in my business, I talked to my coach that this would be my last month, until I could return, the first thing I want to say is that my agreement was always a month a month, however the following month they charged me the full membership fee and the $420 from the coach, even though in my last month I could not attend 7 days of training, which I did not even claim because I did not want to have that gesture with my coach, Very apart from everything, when I complained to the gym about the charge for the month that was already canceled, they told me that they could not refund me that money because I should have sent them an email, however I did send them an email days before the payment letting them know that I had already I had let my trainer know, however they charged me the price of that month's membership with which I had no problem but they also charged me the $420 for the training and told me that I had to use it or I would lose my money, after several emails sent to the manager, he decided to respond and tell me that apparently it was not my mistake and that he would talk to the owner, in conclusion I have been waiting for almost 3 months and they do not tell me anything about the money, the manager does not even respond to the emails

I’d give a 0 if I could, stopped in months ago, way overcrowded idk how they get away with that. Smells like it’s never been cleaned. No communication with staff and coaches,. Was willing to give it a shot for team, calls back and forth but no one knows anything, coaches quitting constantly, hot mess of a place.

Very nice place for your child to either learn some karate / mma or gymnastics. Great teachers, friendly and respectful. The only reason I gave a 4☆ is that when they close because of their own choice and your child misses a class which is once a week for us, they don't reemburse... I mean it's their choice to close for let's say this whole week for the 4th of July. Ok close that's fine let's them you know , do class on a different day or something but close a entire week and not reemburse kinda sad. But this place other than that is awesome. Toilet access, they have food and drinks you can buy. Even if you want to eat fries you can.

Loved my daughters first class today! Very excited to keep bringing her back. Coming from another gym, the circuits are perfect for her age group. Her coach was very sweet. We will pay whatever for great coaches and experience. Love that they have leotards for all ages in their shop. We were explained everything in great detail by the front desk and made the process very simple.

For over 12 years, Golden City has surrounded my daughter with love, strong Christian values, and an incredibly dynamic and diverse coaching staff that has pushed my daughter to be her very best. Whether you’re looking for a recreational, competitive, or an elite program, this is the place to be.

My daughter was at this gym for over 6 years, growing through the BRIDGE program and competing on team. Although there were times it took her longer to gain certain skills, the coaches were patient, supportive, and always pushing her to go above what she thought she could. Even the owners, Sean and Tonie, took part in her development there, becoming a second family to her. Thank you for everything!

Not only have we been coming here twice a week for almost a year now but we decided to have them throw our son’s 2nd birthday party and it was nothing short of amazing. Miss Leah really is a gem who absolutely loves what she does and takes the time to ensure every child has a fun and educational experience every single time they visit. Her and her team are what keep us coming back week after week. I could not have been happier with the birthday party they threw for us. They took virtually every bit of the stress off of me, and my son and all of our guests had the time of their lives. From the decorations, to the activities, to the timing and flow of the whole 2 hours it was absolutely perfect.

If I could give 10+ stars I would! This place is great! My high energy 3 yr old son goes here and he absolutely loves it! Also being able to do unlimited is great you can try all the classes your child is old enough for! Definitely try this place your kidddos will love it! Also A+ to the teachers there!!! Y’all are awesome!

Very happy with this place!!!We was looking for some type of activity where Liam can loose some energy and get used to being around the kids. This is perfect place for it, at first he wouldn’t sit in the circle time, but now after a while he loves it!!! Miss Leah and Mr Reiner are his favorite teachers there. While Miss Leah teaching him flips and rolls, Liam loves to play with ball with Mr Reiner. Love that this place changes activities every week to keep kids interested in the activities. We are going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week and each time Liam is so excited to be there and see his teachers!!!

We love coming to Mygym!! My daughter looks forward to her classes. Miss Leah and staff are wonderful and so welcoming to the kids. Very good experience, I highly recommend it.

This place has it all: amazing workouts, community, support, and staff and trainers that really care about you and that will guide you to achieve your goals!! No camp is ever the same and the energy on the floating floor is just unmatched!! You don’t have to be an athlete to join Burn, all you need to do is show up and they will meet you at your fitness level and work with you to get you to the next one…busy moms/dads, the (free) child watch will allow you to focus on yourself while your kiddo is having fun, I mean you can’t ask for more!! This year I have seen so much improvement in my strength and a real transformation in my mindset…I feel confident, healthy and loving myself and I know my lifestyle and consistency inspires others! I absolutely love Burn and Im so grateful to be part of this community!!

I’ve been with Burn Boot Camp Brandon since the parking lot pop up. I love that all I have to do is show up and the members and trainers are so welcoming and encouraging. They offer free childwatch which is super important for my 1 and 3 year old, and focus meetings to go over nutrition, measurements and my goals. They know when to push you and when you need modification. I’ve never been a fan of traditional gyms and I’ve tried many other group settings. However, I felt right at home here. I’ve met a great good of girls that check on me, hold me accountable, and give me an extra push when I need it. I definitely recommend giving Burn Boot Camp a try!

Burn boot camp has been the best thing to happen to me. I get such a great work out in and I’m done in 45 minutes. I love having the trainers there to hold me accountable and I have met some amazing people that I enjoy getting to come and see every day as well.

If you’re looking for the right gym where you won’t feel out of place, then Burn Boot camp in Brandon is it. I have struggled all my life to find motivation. When my wife brought me to burn it completely changed my mindset. Everyone is always so welcoming, the community is encouraging and the work outs change on a daily basis. All I have to do is show up for 45 minutes and give it my all. Thank you Burn and training staff and all my burn bros for giving go me a place to come to.

I’ve been coming here for almost a year and it has been my absolute most favorite gym to be a part of (I’ve trained at many group fitness classes before). I am constantly talking about this place with my friends and family and bringing them along! The way their workouts are designed are challenging, dynamic, and fun. They also change every week! Not to mentioned I’ve noticed incredible results in my strength, endurance and physique. This gym truly offers everything.. classes, childwatch, community, nutrition, meetings with trainers.. it is SO SO worth it. I love everything about this place! Everyone was and is super welcoming and I’ve never felt out of place. No matter where you’re at on your fitness journey, this place makes you feel like you belong! :) Thanks BURN!

Great local old school type gym. The owner is there on a regular basis. Very clean. Clean bathrooms and showers. Great environment open 24-7 365 days a year. Top of the line equipment from arsenal strength, Panatta as well as some hard to get and very sought after equipment. No matter big, small, newbie, or a gym rat you can get a great work out here. Also the music that’s played here is a million times better than any other gym in the area.

I’ve been going to Metroflex for about a year. This is the best gym in the Tampa area hands down. The owner, Matt, is a pleasure to talk to. The equipment is a collection of the best in class, and machines are always available and working. Very clean gym, and the people are awesome. Great community! 100/10

This is the best gym I've in used in the Tampa Bay area. Old school with serious clientele, but welcoming of all skill levels. The owner is cool and you don't have to deal with the corporate BS a lot of other gyms have.
