Unexpectedly a very good Blink. One of the better, if not the best, locations I’ve been to in Brooklyn. Super spacious, tons of clean equipment and a diverse mix of gym-goers for the area. They also just replaced the older (perhaps faulty?) percussive guns in the ‘stretch’ area which is a great item to have. Wish they had more slat treadmills but hey, at least they have two!

Great for a commercial gym, good variety and condition of machines and friendly staff. A slight ding for the kinds of characters that work out here though and the weights they like to leave wherever they please. Some of the snacks they offer for purchase are also very mediocre. State of the bathrooms is hit or miss.

Natasha is the greatest employee there. Everyone is nice, but she's always sparkling with good vibes. That's how you make me come back to the gym.

Best Blink Gym so far! clean & new equipment. However, they need someone more responsible to open in the mornings. They Always running late & opening late. No a great representation of such a great place.

I go early around 8 but when I go in around 5-6am im always greeted by a nice young lady , very sweet even though i can talk a lot. Warm welcomes definitely help the rest of the day. Gym is new and just vibrant. I like it way more than home lol. Great all around , ( they have a lot of Tv’s ) so I get on treadmill.

Worked out at this location for 3 years and I’m going to miss it. Plenty of machines, weights and usually not long of a wait if someone is on a machine. Workers are always super friendly and everyone genuinely nice. Never had a bad experience and wish all gyms were like this. KEEP IT UP GUYS! YOU ROCK!

I have been a member at this YMCA for about five months, and unfortunately, it has become increasingly uncomfortable to be here. Compared to other locations, this one is severely under-resourced. It is overcrowded, and there isn’t enough management oversight to ensure members have a positive experience. This past Sunday, I attended a yoga class that had already reached capacity, yet additional people were still allowed in, making the space uncomfortably cramped. During class, a woman next to me repeatedly moved my yoga blocks without asking, which was both distracting and disrespectful. I eventually had to let her know that this was unacceptable. While it’s unclear if the instructor noticed, they did not step in to address the issue, even though they are the only one who should be giving direction in the class. Beyond class experiences, the facility itself does not make good use of available space. The aerobics room and spin studio are often locked, even though opening them could help ease overcrowding and reduce wait times for cardio equipment. Additionally, the gym equipment is in need of upgrades—new mats and dumbbells are definitely needed. It would also be beneficial to allow member access to the kettlebells, which are currently chained up for class use only. Overall, this YMCA has potential, but improvements in space management, equipment upgrades, and better oversight from staff are necessary to create a more comfortable and functional experience for members.

Our family is so appreciative of this community facility. The staff members are always kind, the space is clean, and there is a good variety of programming. In addition to workout equipment, classes with fabulous instructors, we also enjoy the child care services and family activities.

3 stars originally because some things are good here and some things are bad. But enough bad things that I switched to 2 stars and will be stopping membership. The good is that there is generally enough equipment for the amount of members here. The equipment covers most general population needs for aerobic and strength training. There is a basketball court and swimming pool. The bad: restrictive hours, restrictions on using the full ymca (court and pool), and faulty water fountains. The hours are fairly restrictive, especially on weekends. If you have a full time job or work on the weekend you probably will struggle to workout here. Also, the water fountains are consistently low pressure and run at a trickle and the filter lights are often yellow or red for weeks at a time. Some of the staff seem to care and most don’t seem to care. Finally, the basketball court and swimming pool are only open to general members at VERY few, specific times of the day — so if you have a full time job you most likely cannot use the YMCA pool or basketball courts — even if no one else is utilizing them when you are there. Overall, good equipment, but restrictive hours and few chances for general members to utilize the basketball court and pool; plus, faulty water fountains that are rarely working or have a green filter light. Edit: The YMCA regularly closes as well, per photo below. Not sure if they post any of this in advance, but it is frustrating to travel to the gym just to find out it is closed unexpectedly.

I’ve loved being part of the Bed Stuy Y for about a year now, since a friend brought me to Jorge’s amazing Zumba class. And I am so passionate about it. Don’t be fooled by the architecture: this is a lovely community org which provides free childcare to members so that they can work out (or take a break!), and is clean, friendly, fun, and sweet.

This is actually a pretty great budget gym; at this price point, they have fantastic staff, facilities, etc. It gets busy (as expected), but not unbearably so. It would be an easy 5/5 if not for one unforgivable flaw: as others have mentioned, specific equipment is left broken for weeks (sometimes months) at a time. This is simply incompatible with the budget gym model when there are so many people and so few alternatives to that equipment. Hopefully something changes because everything else is well worth the money!

If you’re a female gym goer and want to be assaulted by a male and feel unsafe at a gym, this is the location for you. This blink location did not take any steps to ensure my safety or handle the altercation appropriately. Instead, they allowed a highly aggressive and discriminatory male gym member to continue his work out with no intervention. Despite reporting this to both the gym location and the corporate office numerous times, I received no response or resolution. The corporate office simply forwarded my unanswered incident report to the gym location, which was also ignored. Based on my experience, I have no choice but to believe that this Blink Fitness location tolerates a culture of violence and discrimination against women, which is deeply concerning, especially in 2024, in Brooklyn NY.

This gym is OK. Not amazing, not terrible, but just ok. Could use more racks/benches instead of cardio as those areas get PACKED and not only during peak hours. Only reason I go is because it's the closest one to me. One big issue is the plumbing. The men's locker room always seems to flood. Just today at the peak hour the entire locker room was flooded out and unusable. The staff tried their best to handle the situation but I just got fed up and left. Not to mention that when a machine breaks down it'll be put of service for WEEKS, already making a frustrating situation with overcrowding worse. I hope this place gets better, I'll be going to other locations instead.

Zero for customer service. Long haired short man cut my lock off cause some guy said he had stuff in the locker I was using. I don’t recall anything being in there so imagine my surprise (and horror) to see my locker cut off and all my stuff left out in the open. Guy was blaming me for this ish! Like who puts their stuff in a locker with NO lock and gets upset someone doesn’t see it and puts their stuff in there? Like the privilege. Let me tell you this, I didn’t see anything in that locker when I put my stuff there so I have no clue if someone is making ish up, I’m getting heated cause long haired guy will not admit perhaps he should have not cut off someone else’s lock and left their stuff to be stolen. I leave the convo cause I’ve already served time and I know how I can get. Come back two days later and ask them (politely) to replace my lock and short guy starts spouting off again. No not today Satan. I thank God I got the green light and let it rip. Dude still won’t admit wrong and says no way he replace the lock? No way? That’s not what the guy before you said before you came into work to sit on your phone and do nothing. There’s literally locks for sale in the locker room lol. I was gonna not complain because after years working in service I know how damaging a bad review can be for an employee. But I’m livid and my therapist said to talk it out and not act out on things cause yeah 3 strikes and I’ll be out.

The gym is not that old yet all of the equipment is dirty and looks very used. They are seriously lacking equipment, no incline press bench no shoulder press bench, no decline, no t bar rows. The bathroom always floods and they do not restock items that are out.

The personal trainer at this location was wonderful to work with, unfortunately due to his schedule and mine, it was hard for me to fully use the service offered. Reason for my cancellation. Overall, nice gym and friendly staff! Hope I can return some day, I miss that massage bed and chair...loved it after a workout :-).

I've been working out here for over a year. A few things I really like about this gym: 1. It has a lot of newer equipment, I appreciate the recent upgrades, 2. The staff are very kind and friendly, 3. It's not usually too crowded (you can check the app too if you want to avoid busy times), 4. The price is very fair. With the new equipment upgrades, I do wish there was a bit more floor space for stretching and free weight workouts, but overall it's enjoyable to work out there. While PF isn't a "bells & whistles" place (I used to be an Equinox member for years) at the end of the day, it really has all you need!

Just joined, I like that there is nice sunlight in the morning. The other blink up the street is in a basement. The one bizarre thing about this gym is, seems it’s very centered on men’s workouts. There are NO free weights less than 7.5lbs. That makes it seem like women and older people aren’t being considered. We want to work out too!

Been going to the gym since it first open & this gym has not seen any real improvement, besides spacing. Definitely one of the WORST Blinks. Machines are outdated, sometimes they’re broken or you can’t use the straps on the bikes, it’ll always be crowded when you go. People here have poor gym etiquette, trainers will take up multiple spaces and hog equipment. Many weirdos go here who have no social life and come to the gym more to chat and “make friends” and distract others from working out. Bathroom ALWAYS dirty, hot water is coming out of the water foundation. Only thing 2 stars about this gym is that it’s across the street from Foodtown, has great lighting and has 2 floors. I can’t say much about workers here, they change workers every 6 months..if an establishment ALWAYS has new employees, wonder why people don’t stay. Go to Blink Gates or the other one down Fulton st!

I’ve been going to Blink for 2+ years now and I’m so happy they briefly introduced group classes. Bruce was such an amazing trainer, he guided us through each legs and glutes exercise patiently and attentively. Really hoping group classes can take place more often!

Pros: This is one of the few Blinks with windows, and the natural light is a massive bonus. The gym is relatively clean and staff is mostly attentive. Cons: There are, without exaggerating, typically 2-5 gymgoers filming themselves, or live streaming on the gym floor on a consistent basis at this Blink. Multiple gymgoers will also bring their personal trainers, resulting in several overlapping 1 on 1 sessions happening simultaneously. This sets up an environment that feels uncomfortable at best, with little personal space and a constant feeling that the gym is the playspace for influencers and closed minded clientele. Blink as a whole could crack down on these by implementing a policy that bars filming in their gyms.
