Had to pull my daughter from class after the substitute coach didn't know what she was doing. Her coach kept missing every week due to whatever issues. Seems they are settling for babysitters to pass time rather than real coaches to teach.

Our daughter has gone to Basel’s for four years now. We love Coach Karyn and Coach Carissa. They make gymnastics fun. 10/10 recommend.

We are new to Basel's but have nothing but good things to say. Coach Mia is amazing! She is patient, positive and supportive of the kiddos. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, I am saddened to have to share this review as some recent and troubling developments regarding my daughter's experience at Basel's All Star Gymnastics. Last Saturday, my daughter's coach, Karyn, sent a text message to a few parents, including myself. In this message, she expressed her admiration for my child but announced a new rule that was just made up with less than a week's notice. The ultimatum was that my daughter must cease taking private lessons from her other coach, Tokki, who is also a coach at the gym, or she would no longer be part of the Xcel team. While some parents were given the courtesy of a meeting or a phone call to discuss the situation, three of us received only a text. Given the significant time and financial investment we've made over the past five years, I feel this treatment is both unfair and unethical. My daughter has formed a strong bond with Coach Tokki over the past two and a half years. His private lessons have been crucial in helping her improve and master the skills necessary to advance in her gymnastics career. It is disheartening to think that a coach who claims to care for her gymnasts would force them to choose between progressing in their skills and remaining on the team as well between the coaches. When we attempted to discuss this issue with management, the owner himself John dismissed our concerns and had the front desk Anna reach out to us instead. This demonstrates poor management practices and a lack of accountability from the ownership, highlighting a significant issue within the gym's leadership.

Have you heard of the baby whispering coach Mia? She is the most amazing teacher I've ever met working with children and I myself am professional educator. There should be a Hall of Fame with her name in it. She has worked with both of my girls since they were just out of diapers. She loves the kids like they are her own kids and has more patience with them than I do. We love Coach Mia!

My daughter has been coming to the Lil Gym (Spring location ) since about Feb 2024. The staff here are AMAZING!! Ms. Catlin and Ms.Zoe are her teachers, and she loves them!! They are always very patient with the kids, and always full of positive energy ! The facility is very clean, and classes are always very well organized!! She really looks forward to coming to her class each week, and doesn’t want to leave !! We will continue coming here as long as we can !

We LOVE little gym! It's a great way to get out much needed energy, socialize, and learn to listen. My son has already learned so many skills in the 3 months he's been attending. He loves all his teachers so much. Ms. Kay is patient and kind and Ms. Kristen is so fun and great at engaging the kids who need a little extra attention. I'm so glad we decided to join.

To put how much I love this place into words is hard. We’ve been members since fall 22 (1 year ish old) and the little gym has done so many wonderful things for my son. A wonderful way to socialize with other little people and also other adults/coaches/mentors. Thank you to Mrs Kristen, Mrs Suzan and all of the coaches, y’alls’ energy, love and patience is unmatched.

We love the little gym! Been coming since my daughter was 10 months old and now she is over 3 years old. She loves it. It has built her confidence so much and I love to see it! She’s taken many different classes so we’ve built relationships with a lot of the teachers and you cannot go wrong with any of them! All are so sweet and amazing with all the kiddos and their individual needs.

It was our first experience competing at this gym so we were unaware of all of their "rules." Such as you can’t eat snacks in the spectator section… If you want to enforce your arbitrary rules you should definitely teach your employees how to approach people with empathy not aggression. We pay fees to compete here and did not appreciate the way we were treated at all. Our daughters will absolutely never compete in this gym again. That’s 1 meet we will skip!

My daughter has been a gymnast at WCC since 2019 and we are so proud to be a part of this gym. She has been on 2 separate teams and the coaching staff for both are amazing. They love her and push her at the same time. It is clear they want what is best for the kids. My daughter also attends school at The Academy at WCC and every morning when I drop her off I know she is in a safe, warm, welcoming place. WCC has become her second home and she loves being there. This is a great gym for any age child at any skill level.

Lord, why didn't I read the reviews before taking my daughter here. I'm so glad I took her for the holiday 1/2 day camp because if I'd have signed her up for a membership, I'd be pissed. We already had to get up early because the camp was from 8am-12pm. Although I have to facilities near my home, I chose this one because of the history. 12-27-24.. walk in..the young lady at the desk greeted us and told us to go upstairs. But when we got up there..no one was out there manning the sign in sheets. So if you weren't smart enough to just find your child's name and sign her in, you'd be lost. Go in the room..no GM..Hello..Welcome..NOTHING.. I said..GM..silence..I repeated myself, GM..oh GM they chimed in. Then we're just standing there. I said sooo do she just walk in, what is she supposed to do. Oh just put your stuff over there in the cubey. Because I was working, I kissed my daughter and said I'd see her at 12pm. Come back at 12pm, again no nothing. I'm just standing there. A guy playing a big connect 4 with a child finally looks up, parent pick up? Yes.. My baby just so happened looks up and sees me. There was no, thank you for coming..we did this..she did that..see you again..NOTHING!! The icing on the cake was, my daughter asked me could she get a cookie, they had snacks on the table. I said yes, but when she comes back out, no cookie. I said what happened, she said they told her no. I was done then.. A Cookie??? I don't know who this gym really belongs to, but I wouldn't have ANY of these rude folks representing me. And by the years and months of these reviews, this is their norm. I'm so disappointed in this place. And she was supposed upset when I told her she wasn't going back. I don't spend my money with these type of people who don't even have the common curtesy to acknowledge you or communicate with you. I definitely wouldn't have my name attached to it. Never again. The 1 star is for my baby, because although the folks were rude as hell, she said she had fun.

My daughter is a 2 time Maryland state champion and we recently moved here. We showed up thinking we would learn about the program. The front staff was really rude hardly engaged us. We were advised to send the coach an email to inquire about competing teams. We never got a response , we followed up with several phone calls and emails no ever responded. The front desk advised us that it’s at the discretion of the coach pretty much who he entertains to join their program. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
