The gym has absolutely fallen off. Nothing is ever sanitary, if you wanna use the basketball courts good luck being able too they are always rented out to volleyball. Bathroom upstairs is absolutely nasty and smells like sewer. And the showers literally have mold growing in there. Also wouldn’t be surprised if I got kicked out for writing a true review. Just would like to see things turn around here I love the place

This gym has gone downhill, especially on weekends. There’s little to no staff presence—no greetings, no assistance, and phones ringing unanswered. When staff are there, they’re on their personal devices. The biggest issue is the overwhelming presence of outside volleyball teams. They take over the basketball courts, leaving paying members with no space to play. The players are often rude, waiting for members to scan them in, and their stray volleyballs make the gym unsafe—I was hit while on a cardio machine, and I saw someone get hit using the assisted pull-up machine on the basement floor (mind you, the court is on the 2nd floor- two floors above) To make matters worse, many young volleyball players wear extremely revealing shorts, which is inappropriate given the gym’s primarily adult membership. It’s clear the gym prioritizes revenue from team rentals over its paying members. It makes it hard to love this gym as I once did. If things don’t change, I wouldn’t be surprised if many members start leaving.

I’ve been a regular member at Cleveland Fitness Club and usually enjoy my experience, but there have been ongoing issues that make the gym frustrating to use on a daily basis: • Staff Absence: On one occasion, there were no staff members at the front desk, leaving phones ringing non-stop with no one available to assist members. • Limited Basketball Access: The courts are frequently occupied by teams, preventing regular members from playing. I’ve personally seen frustrated members turned away. • Safety Concerns: Volleyballs frequently fly into the cardio area, creating a safety hazard. I’ve seen multiple near misses while using the machines, and I witnessed another member on the bottom level get hit in the head while using the assisted pull-up machine. • Broken Massage Chair: The massage chair has been out of order since it was installed. When it was first noticed that the remote was broken, instead of replacing it, the remote was just removed entirely, leaving members unable to use a brand-new amenity. • Member Experience Overlooked: It often feels like outside teams are prioritized over paying members, which is disappointing for those who rely on the gym as a place to relieve stress and stay active. I understand the need for revenue from team rentals, but there should be a better balance to ensure all members feel valued and safe. I hope the gym management takes steps to address these concerns and improve the overall experience for everyone.

Basketball courts are rented out 7 days a week to youth teams (I am not exaggerating the schedule is attached to this review). The courts themselves are also poorly maintained with ripped basketball nets and bent rims that never get fixed. Court floor is also never cleaned. Steam room has also been out of commission for weeks. Could easily give a 5 star review if these issues were fixed, but I most likely will have to cancel my $65 a month membership if I'm not able to use what I'm paying for.

I would not recommend this gym… You can only sign up for a year, paying in full or by month to month. When you cancel if you’re on a month to month basis, you have to pay out the remaining month’s ($10 fee per month). So 2/12 months is a $100. That’s not the terrible part though, they don’t notify you or let you know when your year is up, they roll you into another cycle unannounced. They also don’t give you a copy of any paperwork when you sign up, they keep it on file, but when you ask for a copy at the desk they can’t provide it at the gym, you have to reach out to their HR department off site.. this is also true for canceling, you can’t cancel your membership at the gym. What you’re paying overall with this gym is less traffic and various amenities that other gyms don’t have. If you’re going just to get a good workout in, it isn’t worth the price.
