My daughter has been doing strength and conditioning training with Shawn at C4 Explosive Sports Training, and we couldn't be happier! Shawn has helped her heal and get strong again after a sports injury, and has helped her to take her basketball game to a new level since then. Shawn has been great for overall strength and conditioning training as well as future injury prevention. She is also consistently communicative, reliable, and has a great positive influence! Highly recommended!

C4 is an amazing facility that I would recommend to anyone interested. I did an internship here for my exercise science degree, and in the few months I was here I learned a substantial amount. All of the coaches displayed an impressive amount of knowledge surrounding this field, as well as truly caring for the athletes they were training. Coach Sebastian really made an impact on my learning experience by offering a substantial amount of valuable information surrounding sports performance training and was always happy to answer any questions I had. Again, I would highly recommend becoming a member here as you will be involved in a supportive environment that will best help you or your athlete reach their goals.

If you're looking for a gym that can truly make a difference in an athlete's performance, C4 is the place. It's not just about working out; it's about transforming athletes into their best selves. My son's journey with C4 has been nothing short of remarkable, and we are grateful for the profound impact it has had on his athletic career.

Great atmosphere, great staff, great program. Coach Darin pushes to do better always, Coach Evan helped to stay functional and athletic, Coach Owen encourages strength and form with heaver weight. The results are impressive. Thank you team.

C4 is by far the best training available for serious high school and college athletes looking to not just become bigger, faster, stronger, but also learn from the best trainers in the state. Charlie Chandler and his partner pour themselves into the young people that train there, it is incredible. I make my high school football team meet at our facility at 7:00 AM Saturday mornings in Fredericksburg, and then we caravan and drive over an hour to train in Manassas with coach Chandler and his team. We train relentlessly and what I've experienced at C4 is by far the best in the state. We get work, we get better, we get smarter, and we get coached up at a level you will not find anywhere else. C4 gets my highest recommendation. Hugh Brown. Head Football Coach and Chairman of the Board of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic High School, Fredericksburg VA.

I had to go to many different pools for swim and I have to say, Freedom is the best pool in VA. It’s cold, clean, and has depth variety. Basketball court is great but the gym (weightlifting) is a little small.

Students taking less than 12 credits (and GMU employees!) have to pay for entry now... As if we don't pay enough in campus fees to support facilities LIKE THE GYMS. What a slap in the face.

Most mornings the pool is not available, which is the entire reason I signed up for this gym. The hours are atrocious, 8 am opening on Saturday and 9 am opening on Sunday. Thankfully the strength room is usually empty (it seems others realize this gym is terrible too)

Some of the staff and lifeguards are great. The masters swim and coaches are great. The big issue is the swimming pool doesn’t cater or prioritize its members. A lot of members like myself come later in the evening after work to get some laps in and there’s always either a swim meet or huge classes and training sessions going on for youth and their coaches. I’ve had to turn away too many times after wasting the time to get there. There were a few times I waited until 9:00pm with only a half hour left to swim but the youth programs take their sweet time to free a lane. Not to mention a whole section of the deeper end that could be used is closed off. Every day the pool is also closed off from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Their swimming pool is the reason I even have the membership and if there’s never any availability then I’m considering cancelling the membership. It’s just not worth it. It is not an accommodating facility. They need to figure something out if they’re having staffing issues.

I went to swim with my family, and when I looked up at the second level window I saw 2 workers pointing and laughing at my 53 year old father swimming. I almost went and told the person at the front desk but I doubt they would’ve cared. Haven’t been back since.
