As a 5 year member and previous coach at this gym, it’s unfortunate to see the standards slip. There are some truly wonderful people at this gym. However, profits over people seems to be the ownership motto these days. The programming and community used to be the main appeal, but community events are more sparse now and the programming lacks direction. Many people are simply unwilling to speak their opinion for the lack of receptivity. Respect was a core tenant years ago, however, personal equipment is now sometimes mistreated or damaged or stolen, membership pauses or cancellations were always unpleasant the handle with ownership and not transparent. There is a lack of consistency with rules such as working out in open gym during class times, which was allowed for some people, but not others. The favoritism and clique aspect of this is divisive to an otherwise wonderful community. CrossFit 926 is a place I want to love, but struggle to do so anymore. Again, there are some incredible people here, but where I once felt like a member of something I felt like a customer when I left. I sincerely hope that the gym becomes as wonderful as it once was and the feedback is taken to heart that not everyone has a great experience. There are two separate gyms within the gym, Spark is looked down on compared to CrossFit which drives a wedge within the community. The workouts are incredibly hard and taxing, but perceived as less than barbell work. The programming is varied and lets individuals that want to work out for a full hour do so. The CrossFit workouts on average took up 37/60 minutes available which isn’t efficient. For $2340 a year, it’s hard to justify broken equipment and a lack of honorable values and respect towards individuals outside “the fold” from ownership. I hope one day to see the gym get back to its roots and regain what made it an amazing place once.

I have only been going for three weeks, but everyone is so dang nice. Every member and coach has gone out of their way to welcome me. The owner has called and texted multiple times to make sure that everything is going well. The programming is fantastic. It pushes you but also accounts for different fitness levels. I have worked the most with Coach Alex, who is fantastic, especially when teaching back squats.

Erika is an outstanding coach—always offering helpful guidance and support in class. She’s patient, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each workout and movement in detail. I’d give her a 10/10, and highly recommend her, as well as all the other coaches at CrossFit Huntersville, to anyone looking to improve their health or start their CrossFit journey!

For any athlete of any age/ability who wants to learn or improve at CrossFit, this is the gym to do it in. The coaches and environment here are beyond outstanding! The feedback they give during classes to keep their athletes safe, while also challenging them, is the best I’ve ever been around. The owner has created a space here that is extremely rare. Her consistency in how she leads and manages is one of the strongest examples of leading from the top down that I’ve ever seen. Because of the standard she has set, you’re going to get the same experience every time you attend a class, no matter what coach it is.

I changed to this gym to be closer to home 3 years ago and so glad I did. The community here is second to none and I have met some of my closest friends through Crossfit Huntersville. The classes are small enough to get that personal feel from the coaches and easily the best part of my day! The addition of the run club that meets once a week is fantastic and I can always count on them to meet me out there.

I have been a member for almost five years. I currently have access to free membership at another facility and still choose to pay to be here. The friends I have made have become family and I have been consistently getting fitter both physically and mentally for the last five years. You will not regret coming here.
