I remember when I first came in to take a trial class, noticed how energetic and welcoming everyone was at 5am! I noticed how attentive and encouraging the coaches Shelly and Thomas are during my first class ever. I loved that they checked on me frequently and gave me feedback to help improve my forms to lift heavier weights. I love how attentive they are and to be in such a welcoming environment. I knew I had to join right then and there! Fast forward to almost two years later and I still always look forward to coming to class. It’s my favorite way to start my day 💖

Just For Fun CrossFit is a great gym with a welcoming community and excellent coaching. The workouts are well-structured, with stretching, strength, and cardio all built in. The coaches are really helpful, giving personalized tips even in group classes. They focus on form, weights, and keep you engaged throughout. The atmosphere is friendly, and everyone is supportive. Highly recommended!

If you’re a parent looking for a supportive gym community, especially with a little one in tow, this gym is a hidden gem. From day one, the coaches and fellow members have been incredibly welcoming—not just to me but to my toddler as well. Despite my child’s unpredictable energy and the occasional outburst, the staff’s patience and understanding have been unwavering. The gym environment is inclusive, making it a space where I can focus on my fitness goals without stress, knowing my toddler is accepted and safe. It’s rare to find a place that balances professionalism with such genuine warmth and family-friendliness. 10/10 recommended for parents who need a workout haven that feels like home!

I got myself a personal training cert for fun and to help me select the right place for my fitness practice. With a previous history of injury, safety is always No.1 to me. After visiting 4 gyms in the Bay Area, JFF is definitely the best in terms of its focus on safety (plenty time for warm up, well designed workout plan, knowledgeable and attentive coaches, relatively small class sizes, etc). Plus the community here is really welcoming and friendly. Very happy that I chose here after 3 months in :)

Coach David was awesome!!!! He helped my son who had issue with his running form and he identified the issue quickly and focused on the muscles that needed to work properly. We had some private sessions and youth classes so far but his running form is much better and we will continue to work on it during the youth class. We really appreciate his knowledge and effort to work our schedule.

Coach David helped my son to start. Our concern was my son is not stand/sit straight. We knew it is because he's not strong enough. But we don't know exactly where. David created personalized trainings for him and helped him a lot. We do see a lot of improvements. The most obvious one, his legs do not seem to be one longer and the other shorter. Thanks a lot for the big help!

I don’t post reviews all that often, unless I can offer a unique and helpful perspective that might be underrepresented. I’m a person who gained a lot of weight during the 2020 lockdowns. I was already plus sized to begin with… but ballooned up from 5’8 280 pounds to somewhere around 300+ lbs. I’ve never been particularly athletic, and I’ve always considered myself a touch uncoordinated. I’m not being self deprecating, I’m just being real haha. I add all these details to stress, I’m not in peak athletic form and if you told me I would be 2 classes in at a CrossFit gym even a month ago I would have LAUGHED in your face LOL. However, Dal, David, and Leslie have been absolutely amazing. Believe me when I say, I wanted to RUN, not walk to the exit after the first 10 minutes, but I stuck through it, and I’m so glad I did. Every coach I’ve met so far has been so encouraging, and attentive to my form. So if you’re someone who’s been out of the exercise game for a bit, and you’re remotely interested in getting stronger and more fit. Check this place out. The staff here will meet you where you are and get you to where you want to be. Coming from a person who has had weight and fitness fluctuations since high school, if I can survive the first couple of days here, you can too! The most difficult part was walking through the door the first time, if you show up once ready to try your best, these trainers will take you wherever in your fitness journey you want to go next.

Wow, where do I even begin with Coach David Gonzales? Every session with him feels like a breath of fresh air. He's not just any CrossFit coach; he's a mentor who genuinely cares. David takes the time to walk you through every step, ensuring you truly grasp each concept. He also focus in small group sessions/ can be a personal trainer to help ywith your training much better. Its not just about the workout; it's about understanding the 'why' behind each move. His support is unwavering, and he has this incredible knack for guiding you through practices that push you just the right amount. If you're looking to not just get fit but also grow in your CrossFit journey, David's your guy!

Coach David have helped my daughters who are doing sports with agility/core strengthening/running forms and weight training. We appreciate his knowledge in youth training and fun style of coaching.
