This is the best new gym in all of Manhattan. It’s architecturally beautiful but more importantly the build out is perfect. The workout space is perfectly hidden away from the climbing (not to mention super bright and lovely). If you are just into climbing or just looking for a regular gym - this place fits both. The co-working space is unmatched. You are surrounded by a ton of plants, huge windows, open space, and what I think is going to be an awesome cafe. This is seriously an unbeatable gym, plus the price is so dang cheap for what you get. A++ Oh and included in the membership are yoga, cycling, and other classes. The rooms for these classes are jaw dropping.

This is an excellent climbing gym with a wide range of first class facilities. The space is large and the route setting is creative. I have climbed at around 50 gyms in 20 countries, and this place was double the price of the next most expensive gym I’ve climbed in. I’ve climbed in gyms of equal quality for USD15 in Australia and USD10 in Europe.

Awesome climbing gym with a really nice weight area. Way more showers and bathrooms than the Williamsburg location. Also feel like there’s more table space to do work/eat/hangout. Personally, I prefer the bigger space and extra bathrooms/showers LES offers compared to the Williamsburg location. The only thing’s Williamsburg has that LES location doesn’t/lacks is: - sauna - aerial classes - rooftop climbing - WillyB cafe has more food options

I attended the Intro to Bouldering class on 11/14 with Will Keith to learn more about technique and form and was very impressed! I felt that this gym, and the amenities provided, with the solid instruction and friendliness of staff, makes this gym absolutely worth it. I hope to stop by again soon!

It features highly modern and well-maintained facilities, with climbing walls of appropriately varied difficulty levels. Best of all, there’s a café upstairs, making it a perfect place to work out and spend time.

This is honestly my favorite gym in NYC. I've climbed all over the city and nothing quite compares to the natural light that floods into Vital West Harlem. I'm also a long time yogi and I was pleasantly surprised to find the yoga offerings at this location to be extensive and super high quality. Really great teachers and a variety of classes offered regularly. The staff are all gems as well :)

I absolutely love the yoga classes at Vital! They have a bunch of class times makes it so easy to fit a session into my busy schedule, whether it's an early morning start or an evening wind-down. The instructors are incredibly skilled and create a welcoming atmosphere for all levels. I always leave feeling both challenged and refreshed, thanks to their thoughtful guidance and clear instructions. It's clear that the teachers are not only knowledgeable but also truly passionate about sharing their practice. I'm grateful to have found such a fantastic studio with top-notch teachers and such convenient options!

One of my favorite gyms in New York City! There is a large front wall which has many slab boulder problems. The cave on the right side of the first floor has tons of fun overhang problems. Upstairs there is a smaller wall, great for kids. There are also yoga classes & a small workout area. Come check it out!

It is a great place with very professional staff, nice amenities and multiple climbing paths, 0 to 9, all inclinations and brains to brute force ratios. With the pass you also get access to their other gyms, including the hanging gardens of brooklyn. I am happy I ve stumbled upon them

Love this place. Had a blast with the kids. They got to do some climbing and so did I. I got to the top of a few of the tall climbs (which I was not expecting to be able to do) with some coaching from the great staff. They were so helpful and reassuring. I can’t wait to go back and try some more of the bouldering. Everything was top notch and clean. I don’t know what my expectations were, but they were def exceeded.

Friendly staff. Good training facilities and equipment. Clean gym. Decent climbs. Variety of wall angles and difficulties. Good roof section. Minimal slab. Problems themselves are quite modern, with limited crimp routes even at harder grades. Movements were varied and on the whole interesting but sometimes forced and awkward. Some holds needed brushing. Has a tension board and spray wall. Spray wall not particularly steep. Good selection of campus rungs. Some holds needed brushing.

Absolutely love this gym! The community is amazing and I love the variety of climbs and angles. Ryan, Tetsu, Ady, Jenna, and Theo are all amazing setters and the members are lucky to have them! I particularly love Jenna’s Train Like a Team Kid class - it makes me feel so strong and it’s a great way to make new friends.

Loved it!!! Great boulders, great walls, and great people! The setting was superb and had a ton of variety with lots and lots of routes. Despite not being the biggest gym, the space was used perfectly and had so many different wall angles. Not only that, but there was great density of holds and routes which made the gym feel twice as big. Plenty of fun routes for beginners, some tricky slabs for the intermediate, and maxed out with a powerful v10 and a few v9s. Even had a tension board, dope campus board, and some chill sport routes. Everyone was super friendly, gave great beta, and I even managed to get a free sticker from the staff! Great place to visit, can’t wait to come back 🥳

Middle of the road, mostly-bouldering gym, with a steep day pass price ($36). This facility put more emphasis on coordination boulders than other CRGs I've been to, which was fun and refreshing. TONS of slab! Their resistance climbing wasn't bad either, though I felt that it sometimes lacked complexity. Good spread of older/newer holds and volumes on the walls. Training facilities include a spray wall (at something like 20°), an adjustable Tension board, campus board, and a couple hang boards. The fitness area was pretty bare-bones. There were a few benches and squat racks, and some cardio equipment. No weight machines. Only a single set of free weights.
