$30 for day pass. Small gym but the sets flowed well and were pretty fun. Mostly static climbs and few dynamic sets. (I like dynamic sets) Spent about 2-3 hours and finished a dozen or so climbs before my hands turned raw. Gym feels tailored towards beginner/intermediate climbers - would need to be patient around people who were climbing for the first time that might not be aware of their surroundings. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and people mostly kept to themselves

The employee who served me was very nice and welcoming. The gym is decently sized giving you ample choice for boulder problems at your level. The boulder sets were intricate and well thought out. Compared to my home gym, the grades were harsher; I usually climb at V5 and was struggling with V3s. This isn't an issue since grades are often very subjective. I'm docking a single star for the day-pass price. At $30 USD, I found it a bit pricey.

Very nice gym. Better than Boston Bouldering Project for actual bouldering. I liked the hold selection, the use of volumes, and the varied setting. Interesting problems and they really make the most out of the space. There‘s even a phone charging station and skin care stuff, too.

This was the smallest climbing gym I’ve been to, but the problems were interesting. The grades weren’t as soft as the Fenway gym and felt on par with the other gyms I’ve been to. Not sure if I’d like this gym as my main due to its size, but as someone visiting with a day pass, there were plenty of fun problems and I had a blast!

Fun gym with a variety of problems, got a day pass and did not run out of stuff to do (I am a V3 / V4 level). Grading was consistent with other gyms I have been to. Only downside was the steep price for a day pass ($34).

This is an amazing gym. Dan and Max on staff are always friendly and willing to help, and give great tips and advice, and there’s a healthy community atmosphere here. The routes are quite varied and usually feel like they’re designed to teach good technique, with a lot of different ones that keep people coming back. I started climbing here and I’ve even brought a bunch of my friends here who hadn’t climbed before, and they almost without fail had fun and wanted to come back for more (and some do!). It’s also some of the cheapest climbing I’ve found - keep an eye out on the promotions and you’ll likely find yourself hooked before you know it.

I've been climbing with Rock Spot for several months now and I am very content with my membership! The staff is super friendly and caring, and also are great climbers themselves. Everybody I've interacted with here has been so positive and there is a great sense of community here. I was nervous about swapping gyms after moving here to Boston but the transition has been easy thanks to the great facility and helpful staff. In terms of routes, although there is a wide variety of walls and setting, there is a lot more overhang than I have seen at most other gyms, with maybe more than 50% of the climbing surface area dedicated to overhang problems. Not necessarily an issue, but just something I noticed. I also find that the problems can be inconsistently graded at times - where I can do a few v5's on one week's problems while I can barely do any v4's on another week. It could just be something wrong with me though haha. Another minor nit is that sometimes the tags that indicate which holds are the start holds can fall off pretty easily and get lost on the climbing mats, which can make the beginning of some problems confusing.

Blitzed in here before conference. So nice to have a local welcoming gym with auto belay. Diverse routes, friendly staff, felt like home. I was impressed by diverse equipment opportunities including treadwall and competition routes. If a local would be a member. Check them out.

Very well equipped gym even though it's a bit older. It has everything you need to have fun climbing and for training. It has a great varieties of features and climbs. Very nice staff. It has lot of hangboards, weights, bands, a spray wall, a treadwall, and some short TRs. I look forward to going back when I visit Boston next time.

Great rock climbing spot! The only reason they don't get all five stars on my review is that their crash pads could be improved. They do not feel as safe as they could. The level system in the gym is also interesting as they provide a peer contributed scale of grades for each route.

Best setting ever! I don’t tend to leave reviews, but this place deserves it. I loved the variety of climbs and holds. Everything I tried was engaging, interesting, and felt accurately graded. Plenty of traverses too, which lots of gyms lack. I was there while they were resetting and it was great to watch the crew do their thing - they clearly know what they are doing! The girl at the front desk was also super sweet and helpful. I’ll be going far out of my way to come back here for sure!

Great setting, friendly staff! Nice variety in the bouldering area, and there are both top rope and autobelays. The top rope wall is pretty short so the climbs feel bouldery

We celebrated my son’s 9th Birthday at Rock Spot yesterday. And I have to say they made entertaining, challenging and wearing out 16 very high-energy 3rd graders incredibly easy. They did everything so we could just show up and enjoy the fantastic space. Our group had three dedicated staff who knew how to get the kids engaged with top-notch and safe instruction. The party room up stairs was spacious and set up with table cloths, plates, cutlery, balloons and gift bags complete with t-shirts for everyone. They arranged for the pizzas that were actually quite good and not marked up ridiculously. In fact I don't think they were. They also can provide drinks and the cake. But we decided that was the least we could do. That said, everything was very reasonable compared to other venues we have celebrated at. Oh, and the communication from start to finish was one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you’re looking for a turnkey, stress free and fun birthday party for your kids I highly recommend Rock Spot.

Very well-set bouldering routes. We climbed for 90 minutes attempting routes mostly V0-V4, and there was a very good variety of routes, with satisfying difficulty. It was very fun and satisfying bouldering here.

Well, I did not get a chance to experience the facility with my kids. I was looking for a new activity for my girls. So, I did a google searched of the rock climbing place near my home and this rock climbing place popped up. I decided to go see if I could get a tour of the place before my girls gymnastics class. Overall, the woman I spoke to was very friendly, knowledgeable and nice. She gave us a great tour. I asked her a few questions but she wasn’t sure. She said that her manager was coming in later and was going to email me with the answers. A day past and no answer. Despite her not responding to me, i decided to give her another chance. I called and wanted to set up a trial class for my kids. She said she has to find out from the two instructors and see if they can do it this Saturday. I said sure. I asked her are you going to call me later tonight to let me know so I can setup the time. Again, I did not get a call back that night nor the day after. Honestly, after these two mishaps. I will not sign my kids up for this place. The lack of professional courtesy phone call or email left me a bad taste in my mouth. So, I would not recommend this place only because of that reason.
