Best Boxing Gym near Lewisville, Texas

Great coaches and awesome atmosphere. I checked out a handful of other gyms before signing up here and JAB Academy was a standout because of the environment and because of Coach Jose. You can tell he’s passionate about teaching the sport of boxing to people of all ages. He adapts his coaching style to ensure you understand the fundamentals and he makes learning fun and challenging. There are boxing gyms closer to where I live but I’m happy to drive the 45 mins to work with Coach Jose and the team at JAB Academy.

I’ve been to two group glasses with Jose so far. Never boxed before but I don’t feel out of place at all. Jose keeps me informed and alters drills based on my skill level. Everyone is super friendly and the environment is very chill. Definitely a place to pick up something new!

Coach Jose is a great trainer, mentor, very knowledgeable, professional and motivating. He knows how to keep the kids engaged. I took my son there for classes and he had a great experience, he made great gains quickly thanks to their tutelage. He works very well with kids and young adults. I would definitely recommend JAB Boxing Academy, this is the place to go, no doubt!

Awesome gym to go to wether your a beginner or have been boxing awhile the coach will work with you and everyone there is cool and welcoming definitely would recommend this gym to anyone

My son came for a trial youth group session and he really enjoyed himself! As soon as the class was over he came straight to me to ask if he could join the class. He said it wasn’t too hard but also wasn’t so easy that he was bored. I’m looking forward to seeing the growth in my son over the next several weeks.

We have been with Lewisville Boxing team now for just over a year. My youngest son started first and a couple of months later my older son wanted to box too. Jamaal is an excellent teacher and so good with kids. My boys have learned so much not only about boxing but about perseverance, respect and much more. I highly recommend LBT!

If I could give 0 stars, that would be my rating. Very unprofessional business owners, first introductory session, the owner/coach was not present, coach that came was over 15min late. Upon completion of session payment was taken, and was advised if we would like to continue to contact the coach Lawson to set up monthly. No contract or liability waiver was ever made or signed books were not kept up with. Coaches are always late would rather communicate with the minor children that attend rather than the parent/guardian. If you so choose to do business with this place ensure you are not taken advantage of and treated respectfully!!

Very experienced and well informed coach. Great work going on in this gym. Instructing fighters thoroughly while also being uplifting and encouraging. Good atmosphere.

Amazing old-school boxing gym with a family culture. Full of great people and run by a great man in Coach Jamaal. Authentic training and facility, and if you're anywhere in the Lewisville area, no doubt this is the place to be! Worth the travel if you're a little bit away.

Definitely recommend!! Great gym, great coach with experience as a professional and amateur boxer. He definitely knows his stuff and has created many champions. They actually just won the Golden Gloves this year again!! This gym has awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here, they are eager to help and will to take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further.

Just began boxing and it’s awesome especially training with the owner JC his patience and energy transfers. It’s something I wanted to do for years and finally here. He has morning, evening and weekend/weekday classes all to fit your schedule. You can be in a group or open gym. Stay at the gym for an hour or a few hours. Right by all your favorite OLD TOWN places. Come on Lewisvillians get your boxing on this new year 2025!!

I've been training at JC's boxing academy for about 6 months and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their boxing skills. All of the coaches are passionate and accommodating to all skill levels. This is a great gym for people who have never boxed all the way up to people who are actively competing! Truly a great place to learn the art of boxing

Great owner! Humble down to earth and willing to meet you anywhere you stand in skill and physical abilities. I am a disabled Vet and he has been open to creating training for me and my physical limits. Highly recommend from a disabled veteran.
