Unfortunately this place is exactly how most review describe it, dirty most equipments are broken and with only one class worth my time but even that is too early for me. I'm a late sleeper due to to my work schedule so 9am is way early. Class gets packed by 845 with lack of enough equipments for everyone. Smelly old foam mats totally unsanitary Worse part is the horrendous music running all day total crap trash obnoxious and loud. The locker room is cold and gets robbed a lot, I haven't gone into the sauna room in years since last there was people with shoes and smelled like old cheese. On the positive side the complementary trainer class they offer with the new membership which I just reinstated it after talking a year off, that was really good. All in all it's an unpleasant experience.

24 Hour Fitness STOLE My Money I had a busy morning and just 30 minutes before a big meeting, so I popped into 24 Hour Fitness for a quick shower and makeup refresh. I knew I was about to pay $20 for a one-day pass—just two bucks shy of their monthly membership fee—but hey, late-stage capitalism. As I walked in, I saw advertisements for towel service right by the front door. Great! At least I wouldn’t have to lug around a towel for a 5-minute shower. I paid the cashier $20 on my credit card and asked for a towel. “Nope, no towels.” Wait… what? “But you have towel service. I’m happy to pay extra for a towel.” No-go. Apparently, towel service is only for members. “Okay, can I have a refund? I need a towel.” Suddenly, the cashier conveniently didn’t know how to process a refund. I’d have to come back later when a manager was available. I explained I was only here for a short time, but it didn’t matter. They refused to refund me, so I walked out without my money. They stole my money. TL;DR: 24 Hour Fitness charged me $20 for a shower with NO TOWEL, refused to refund me, and gave me zero solutions. Save your money—find a gym that isn’t running a scam.

Horrible customer service. I went in on 1:50 PM on 12/30 and had to grab the attention of someone who clearly did not want to be there. I signed up for a 3 day pass online and was looking for a new gym in the area. I was rudely told I needed something to prove I lived in SF and to go grab it. No thanks. Headed to a a different gym and proceeded to buy a membership because I was treated nicely. Do NOT even try coming to this gym. Looked extremely run down from what I could see. Yuck.

Filthy, grimy and full of stench, best describes 24 Hour Fitness Potrero Hill Gym. Gym Staff refuses to clean Men's Locker Room, it's filthy all the time. Now they close the Men's Locker Room from 1pm to 3pm Daily as to PROHIBIT gym members to enter locker room. This is totally unacceptable and abhorrent.

Gym is dirty and unmaintained. I bring my daughter here for swim lessons and I’m shocked every time I need to take her to the bathroom. Every single time it’s a scene out of Trainspotting. Poop paints the walls, piles of wet toilet paper and a horribly dirty floor. Management needs to get their act together, and hire a dedicated janitor. The front desk staff are nice but are not trained or equipped, or motivated to keep the place clean.

Awesome staff, for one! They are super nice and accommodating and helpful. The gym itself is very nice too and they have everything you could possibly need to have a great workout. Personal trainers are more knowledgeable than any others I’ve worked with so far. Wynee gave me a ton of helpful information on my muscle strength based solely on my posture while doing squats. A++!

This 24 hour fitness is so gross. It stinks of sweat and rusted equipment. A lot of the people that attend this gym don't clean off their equipment and aren't held accountable. There also isn't enough paper towel dispensers throughout the facility. Hopefully at some point they will get new equipment as well. It's very outdated, stinky and rusted. It's definitely not the cleanest facility I've ever been in. This place needs better management. On the bright side, they do offer a decent amount of fitness classes and have trainers.

So the equipment is an old and the bathroom has a brown puddle in it, but the girl at the front desk took the time to show me around since it was my first time at this location. Super nice. I think it was adequate and had enough equipment to work out and not wait for anything.

So I signed for a 3 day guest pass . In the front desk they said is not for this location because they have a lot of people asking for that ! I called customer service and they said is nothing they can do . I am ok to pay $20 or even $30 for a day but I don’t like when any location does not have empathy with us as a clients probably they can get more members month to month if they are more open to let us workout 3 days . There is space ! Poor customer service because most of new clients are feeling not good with 25 hrs . This affects the whole corporation. Just want to let you guys know to not sign for 24hrs is not good enough.

24hrs Fitness, you guys need to improve the restrooms cleaning, I have been early morning and nights at this location but restroom smells terrible, is disgusting . No excuses, seems like they don’t clean the restroom at night or during the day. I’m almost canceling my membership after 4 days joined. Smells Urine sooo badly. I’m seeing reviews from 5 months ago complaining about the same issue. The general manager have his own restroom? . 🤢🤢🤢🤢.

I have rejoined this location and sad to see nothing has changed in two years. Half of the men’s showers have so little water pressure that you need to lean against the tile to try to rinse off. This hasn’t changed in 2 years so please, no canned reply about how you are trying to improve. What has changed is that more of the shower doors have fallen off. You also need to understand preventive maintenance. The floor drain in the shower area often fills to the top which tells me that soon the drains in the individual showers will clog up resulting in you needing to close the showers. Call a plumber now for some preventive maintenance. And if you you call a qualified plumber they could finally fix the water pressure too.

Staff has been great from the cleaning crew to the desk workers, but this site is straight up gross by any building standards let alone a gym that charges a wild amount. There is not a duplicate of any machine, and no variations of machines. The dumbbell area a joke , one small 6x6 space for working out for a whole dumbbell rack? The wall of them only has 6 benches. If you count working improperly machines rather than straight up broken, half of them have issues. This is a terrible 24 hour fitness and considering it’s not in a particularly bad area with high foot traffic there’s no reason for the trash facilities Apparently one aspect or another has been out of service since 2022

Today I complaint because a member has been playing his music outloud inside of the locker room. It turns out that, according to the GM (nice man, btw) told me, very politely btw, that 24h Fitness doesn’t have in their policy that restriction. The member told me that he has been playing music always and that no one complained before as an entitlement for him to continue with this behavior. My question here is if that entitle me to play my music outloud as well. Not just me, but everybody in the locker room. I mean, we all have headphones now, right? Regardless than a locker room is a common space where someone can’t make decisions about what music to play or even decide to play it. Please let me know if I am allowed to play music always music outloud moving forward. If not, please step up your brand values for us to know. Thanks

I love this gym but the amount of time the basketball court has been taking to be remodeled is a real bummer. It’s been torn up for months. Please fix it soon!

This gym can get extremely packed and it’s also pretty dirty machines are usually pretty dirty. You can get what you need to do in here done they do have a lot of equipment. I do like their bench press equipment. They do have a lot of stuff to get the job done unfortunately a lot of the members don’t clean up after themselves and just really thrashed the place.
